Wednesday, January 7, 2015

Cobalt International Exploration updated its drilling activities on Angolan Blocks 20 and 21 offshore the country. On Block 21 the company’s Mupa #1 exploratory well encountered a non-commercial hydrocarbon bearing zone and has been plugged and abandoned.

Block 21 is operated by Cobalt in partnership with Sonangol Pesquisa e Produção S.A. Block 20 is also operated by Cobalt in partnership with Sonangol Pesquisa e Produção S.A. and BP Exploration Angola (Kwanza Benguela) Ltd.
