A MoU was signed between an Egyptian firm and aJordanian firm aimed at the maintenance of pipelines. The Jordanian Egyptian Fajr Company, the Egyptian Natural Gas Company (Gasco), and Fajr Egypt signed the MoU to establish a JV company to operate and maintain oil and gas pipelines in Jordan.
A second MoU was signed that covers the preparation of economic and operational feasibility studies for gas delivery projects in Aqaba, Amman, Zaraq, and Irbid. The studies will consider the feasibility of deliveries to household, commercial, and industrial consumers.
The Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, and his Jordanian counterpart, Saleh El Krasbsha, attended the signing ceremony and discussed further cooperation between Egypt and Jordan, particularly in the energy sector.
