Sonangol is committed to the re-industrialization of Angola according to the state-run company’s executive director Ana Bela Fonseca speaking at the inauguration of five plants and a wastewater treatment unit in the Luanda/Bengo Special Economic Zone (Luanda-Bengo ZEE).

Fonesca said even these inaugurations were an important step toward the accomplishment of the oil company's commitments. The commitment assumed by Sonangol is aimed at the completion and start of various industrial units designed for the Luanda/Bengo Special Economic Zone, the official added.

In addition to the plants inaugurated, the Executive Committee on Sonangol Industrial Investments is working toward an additional 12 new plants in H2. With the inauguration of the new industrial units, the number of plants operating in the Luanda-Bengo ZEE will sit at 14.
