Algeria and Indonesia are teaming up in the energy sector. The state-run firms of both countries, Sonatrach and Pertamina, signed a MoU for cooperation in Algeria, Indonesia, and other parts of the world.
Under the MoU the two will exchange expertise and knowledge in various segments of the hydrocarbon chain, especially in research and development. The two have also agreed to exchange information on the gas industry and its derivatives as well as explore opportunities to cooperate in that field.
“The two companies have in this manner expressed by this signature, their wish and determination to cooperate and strengthen their relations,” said a press statement sent to the Jakarta Post.
The MoU was signed by Sonatrach partnerships director Kamel Eddine Chikhi and Pertamina investment planning and risk management director Afdal Bahaudin.
