Harvest to Spud Gabon's Tortue Prospect

Harvest Natural Resources issued its Q2 report and gave an overview of the quarter’s activities in Gabon. Over the quarter the company saw the government agree to extend the third exploration phase to four years. Harvest now has until May 2016 for exploration on the Dussafu PSC offshore. Harvest operates the block with a 66.667% working interest.

The company is currently preparing to spud a well on the Tortue prospect in October; the well will target stacked pre-salt reservoirs. The well will be drilled using the Scarabeo 3 semi-submersible rig.

Harvest also reported that is central 3D Pre-Stack Time Migration was completed in July.
