NOC subsidiary, Arabian Gulf Oil Co. (AGOCO) has reported a new discovery in the Ghadames Basin. NOC reported that the F1-NC4 new field wildcat was drilled to a total depth of 10,300 ft.
During drilling reserves were encountered in three reservoirs − the Memouniat, the Lower Acacus, and the Middle Acacua. All three established oil and gas flows when tested.
The well saw 20 ft of net pay from the Memouniat and flows of 38 bpd of condensate and 6.84 Mmcf/d of gas. A total of 27 ft of net pay from three zones was encountered in the Lower Acacus and these zones flowed at a combined rate of 3,186 bpd of crude and 2.45 Mmcf/d of gas. A combined 23 ft of net pay was encountered in the Middle Acacus in two zones. These zones flowed at a combined rate of 2,184 bpd of oil and 5.406 Mmcf/d of gas.
