Australian firm Kinetiko Energy says it is on track to commence pilot production wells at its Amersfoortgas project in South Africa for its CBM program. The company has successfully obtained all necessary regulatory and environmental approvals and has procured all materials and contractors required to commence pilot production.
Pilot production drilling begins at the end of September and should complete in February 2013. Pilot production drilling advances exploration drilling (phase 1) and the company is targeting the classification of a portion of resources into reserves (3P & 2P).
In addition, the company's exploration drilling on the Volksrust tenement continues with the first well completing with gassy coal intercepts.
