A US delegation featuring executives from some of the top energy companies are in Algeria for a visit. The delegation will visit Algiers and Hassi Messaoud from September 29 to October 5 to explore investment opportunities in the North African country.
The delegation, a US economic mission, was organized the Algerian Embassy in Washington and the US-Algeria Business Council. Companies taking part in the visit are engaged in the petroleum sectors including exploration and production, industry service firms, petrochemicals, and refining. Among the firms that make up the delegation are Halliburton, Anadarko Petroleum Corp., Texas Oil Technical, and the Pacific Refinery Group.
During the visit the delegation will meet with officials from the Ministry of Mines and Energy and state-run Sonatrach. They will also meet with local company managers in Hassi Messaoud.
