Baker Petrolite Acquires DBM Oil Chemicals B.V.

PRESS RELEASE--SUGAR LAND, Texas – July 24, 2006 – Baker Petrolite, a division of Baker Hughes Incorporated, has acquired DBM Oil Chemicals B.V., based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. This acquisition will support the growth of the Baker Petrolite fuel additives business, including the Prepared to Respond® (P2R®) Services business segment. The P2R Services Program provides 24-hour, year-round worldwide chemical response service to cargo and tanker owners, and suppliers for onsite chemical treatment of fuel oil, crude oil, and distillate fuel cargo in order to meet the buyer’s specifications.
