SPE 2009 OLOIBIRI LECTURE FOCUS ON GAS IN THE NEW ECONOMIC LANDSCAPE
The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Nigeria Council will Friday May 15th 2009 at Eko Hotels in Lagos hold its 2009 edition of the Annual Oloibiri lecture and Energy Forum series with the theme ‘Nigeria’s Gas in the New Economic Landscape”. The platform will afford stakeholder’s the opportunity for cross fertilization of ideas to reveal new economic dimension for the sector, which holds significant economic potential for Nigeria due to its robust reserves and rapidly evolving demand base.
Dr. Rilwan Lukman the Honorable Minister of Petroleum Resources will Chair the event while Dr. Emmanuel Egbogah the Special Adviser to the President on Petroleum Matters will be the lead speaker.
The 2009 Oloibiri Lecture and Energy Forum Series in the afternoon, chaired by Mr. Alek Musa, Deputy Managing Director, Total Upstream Nigeria Ltd. provides a first hand opportunity to gain comprehensive insight into the SEC Rules on Reserves Calculation in the Nigeria oil and gas industry, directly from Mr. Billy Agha the current Director, Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR).
This year’s event promises to be very interactive and beneficial as other eminent international and local operators in the industry will also be speaking at the one day event while participants will be taking home expert knowledge and experience for better strategic planning towards effective development of the Nation’s enormous gas resources..
