Daewoo Wins Pipeline Contract in Nigeria

South Korea’s Daewoo Engineering & Construction Co. has been awarded a $171 million gas pipeline construction contract. The contract is with a Shell subsidiary in Nigeria.

Daewoo Engineering said in a filing with the Korea Exchange that that contract came from Shell’s Nigerian unit, Shell Petroleum Development Co.  

The construction of the pipeline is scheduled to start May 15 of this year and end in June 2012.
