In Amenas gas plant in Algeria is seeing a return of foreign oil workers after nearly a year-and-a-half absence following the Islamist militant attack on the plant that left 40 workers dead; 39 of those were foreigners.
“Twelve expatriate workers are already at the gas facility and more are expected progressively,” a source told Reuters.
Statoil and BP, who operate the plant in partnership with Sonatrach, demanded improved security before returning workers.
