Expanding its presence in Nigeria’s power sector further, GE’s Distributed Power business contracted IGPES Gas & Power Ltd. as its new authorized distributor and service provider for GE’s Waukesha gas engines and genuine parts.
IGPES Gas & Power is a subsidiary of IGPES Ltd., a wholly owned Nigerian engineering services company. IGPES has an extensive footprint in the Nigerian oil and gas industry by providing integrated EPC services across the energy value chain.
The new agreement will enable both IGPES and GE to support an even wider range of oil and gas production projects throughout Nigeria as Waukesha gas engines are ideally suited for a variety of on-site mechanical drive, gas compression and power generation applications.
“Our new distribution and services agreement with GE gives IGPES access to a gas engine technology that is highly regarded within the global oil and gas industry for its operational flexibility and durability,” said Uzoma Ekpecham, managing director and CEO IGPES Gas and Power.
