Gulfsands Petroleum has terminated its activities in Tunisia and plans to leave the North African country permanently. The decision follows unsuccessful efforts to find a partner for its Chorbane license.
The company had until July 12 to find a partner to develop the license.
The company needed a partner capable of advancing its objectives on the license, unfortunately an acceptable partner was not forthcoming and Gulfsands chose not to apply for a further extension of its contract.
