GE Oil and Gas together with Other Industry Leaders to Gather in Istanbul to Discuss the Latest Artificial Lift Technologies
Istanbul, Turkey – On 22- 24 September this year, Praxis Global Research will host its 4th Artificial Lift Interactive Technology Workshop, a gathering of international and regional experts and industry leaders from the upstream sector of the oil and gas industry. The event will review the current challenges and trends in Artificial Lift technologies as faced by the region.
The latest oil production developments and studies urgently call the need for the use of Artificial Lift Methods in the fields worldwide. From two million operating oil wells worldwide, only 50% use Artificial Lift methods, with 70% of these fields considered being in their mature phase. Numbers of wells with natural flow turn into wells with low insufficient reservoir pressure by each year. The oil and gas industry explores and develops new Artificial Lift technologies that answers the growing energy demand and return the investments of the field. The most important question in this development plan is how to select the right Artificial Lift method to achieve the operational excellence of the production wells and run full lifecycle of the well.
The Artificial Lift workshop aims to further discuss these challenges and solutions through the leadership of the Executive Steering Committee composed of industry leaders such as Mohammed Iqbal Sipra, ESP Consultant, as the Technical Chairman; Fahad Al Yami, Senior Service Manager, GE OIL AND GAS Artificial Lift as the Co-chairman; Walid Reda, Regional Manager, NOVOMET; Murtaza Amin, Principal Production Technologist, TULLOW OIL UK; and Ali Hamed Faras, Senior Engineer (Well Surveillance), KUWAIT OIL COMPANY – to name a few.
Among the key topics that will be discussed are: Evaluating the Selection Criteria of Artificial Lift, Analyzing Reservoir Characterization and Well Design; Assessing Corrosion Control; Minimizing Failure Analysis; ESP Best Practices; Identifying Gas Lift and PCP Challenges and Advancements; Latest Advances and Alternative Artificial Lift Methods; and Exploring New Technologies and Usage of Artificial Lift Intelligence such as Jet Pumps, Sucker Rod Pumps and Plunger Pumps.
