Libyan OPEC Representative Disappears

Numerous reports out of Libya have NOC missing an engineer. Samir Salim Kamal, a senior official with NOC and the country’s representative to OPEC, is believed to have been abducted.

According to reports Kamal has not been seen since he left the state-run firm’s offices on January 15.

“His friends last saw him on Thursday afternoon (January 15) as he left the NOC headquarters,” an official at the company, who did not want to be named, told AFP.

There has been no claim of responsibility for the abduction.
