NOC Investigates Sharara Security

Libya’s state-run oil and gas firm, National Oil Corporation (NOC), is investigating security violations that had taken place in recently at its largest oil field, the Sharara oil field.

The state-run firm offered no details on the incidents in a statement released late on Sunday, but said the head of security at the field had reported that the breaches were due to “individual action” and that “the security situation is good.”

Sharara has been producing about 270,000 bpd.
