Ready, Set, Bid Says Mozambique

A new licensing round offering up acreage in one of Africa’s hottest exploration spots will soon be launched. Mozambique’s Institute of National Petroleum (INP), on behalf of the government will open the doors on its latest licensing round on October 23 in London.

Mozambique is offering up 15 blocks in the offshore Rovuma, offshore Zambezi and Angoche. Onshore blocks near Sasol’s Pande-Temane concession and in the Palmeira area will be offered. The blocks comprise a total of 76,800 sq km.

The licensing round closes on January 20, 2015. Further details will be posted on INP’s websites.
