Rosneft and ExxonMobil Join Forces on Mozambique Bid

A subsidiary of Russian firm Rosneft, RN-Exploration, and US supermajor ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Mozambique Offshore, have filed a joint bid for access to acreage on offer in Mozambique’s Fifth Licensing Round.

Rosneft and ExxonMobil decided to file joint bids for the participation in the license round for contract areas in the Angoche Basin and Zambezi Delta. If the pair are successful in their bids, ExxonMobil will become the operator.
