Shell and Apex Score Acreage in Egypt

Tarek El Molla revealed that he has signed oil and gas deals with Shell and Apex International Energy for work in the country’s Western Desert.

Shell will invest $35 million in the first deal and Apex, which is operating in Egypt for the first time, would invest a combined $46 million on two projects, the Ministryof Petroleum said.

The signed agreements are part of the government’s bid to lure back foreign investment into the energy sector.
