Two South African Peacekeepers Wounded in Darfur

Two South African peacekeepers were wounded when gunmen opened fire in Darfur. The soldiers were fired upon as they collected water and returned fire.

The peacekeepers were airlifted to the El Fashir hospital after the ambush, according to Captain Jaco Theunissen.

On October 16, three Ethiopian soldiers were killed guarding a well in Karma.
