Zohr Development Closes in on Completion

The addition of more natural gas reserves to its totals is drawing nearer for Egypt. The country’s Zohr development is at an estimated completion stage of 91%, according to Tarek El Molla, the country’s oil minister.
Discovered in 2015 by ENI, the Zohr field is due to start producing in December. The field is estimated to contain 30 Tcf of gas and is expected to produce 500 Mmcf/d.

Phase one of the development will link the wells of the first stage to produce the targeted gas on time, the head of PetroShourouk, which is working on the developments, told the petroleum minister in a meeting.
