Acergy Bags over a Billion on West Africa Contract

Acergy S.A. has been awarded a contract valued at approximately $1.3 billion, for the engineering, procurement, fabrication and installation of a significant deepwater development, offshore West Africa.

While the company did not say who awarded the contract, it did say that the engineering will commence with immediate effect with offshore installation scheduled to commence Q4 2012. The company’s new state of the art pipelay ship, Acergy Borealis, will provide services along with the Acergy Eagle and Acergy Legend.
