The National Agency of Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels (ANPG), announced that the Data Package for blocks for oil exploration in the Terrestrial Basins of the Lower Congo ( CON1, CON5 and CON6 ) and the Kwanza (KON5, KON6, KON8, KON9, KON17 and KON20) are now available.
Companies which intend to view the data of the aforementioned blocks as well as that of other available basins, as well as participate in a Data Show Room to be carried out by the national concessionaire, should express their interest through the email [email protected].
ANPG also informed that there may be a delay in the launch. “According to the Schedule of Activities of the Bidding Process 2020, all conditions were created so that by the end of May, the announcement of the intention to launch the public tender was made, pursuant to Presidential Decree No. 86/18, of 02 April. However, due to the current economic constraints caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, this date may undergo minor adjustments.”
ANPG also emphasized that despite the adverse situation, the objectives of previously scheduled bids have not changed. “The need to streamline and continue petroleum operations in the country remains valid, with emphasis on exploration activities,” ANPG stressed.
ANPG will, in due course, publish information on any changes to the process on its portal and in the national and international media, as well as the announcement of the intention to launch the public tender, pursuant to Presidential Decree No. 86/18 , of April 2nd.
