Bonny Oil Terminal Ups Output

Monday, March 9, 2009

According to an official from Nigeria’s state-run oil and gas firm NNPC, output at Shell’s Bonny Light crude terminal is up to 200,000 bpd. "As of Monday, it’s producing around 200,000 bpd," the NNPC official said.

Production was cut to around 90,000 bpd in February due to security concerns in the Niger Delta. Shell in February stated that the insecurity in the Niger Delta led to the company being unable to meet some oil export obligations from its Bonny terminal for most of February and some of March.
