RELEASE–CECA opens an office in Algeria

Paris, 12th December 2007

CECA, a subsidiary of the ARKEMA Group, has today announced the opening of a liaison office in Algiers, Algeria, with a branch office in Hassi Messaoud. The new liaison office, manned by 7 people, will be run locally by M. Toumert BENNACER. This new structure is part of the development of the Oilfield Chemicals business in Algiers.

CECA’s official presence in Algiers is for us a very important step in our efforts to offer a reactive organisation for our customers in Algeria. CECA has been active in Algeria for over 30 years as a supplier of additives to the oil and gas industries, as well as on-site technical support  explains Christophe COUESNON, Director of CECA’s Oilfield Chemicals. It was vital for us to have a reactive structure allowing us to fulfil the needs of our Algerian partners, in particular by opening a laboratory in Hassi Messaoud for the product application as well as to improve our ability to capitalise on market opportunities in Algeria.
