Release–Champion Technologies launch training academy
Champion Technologies, a specialist provider of oilfield production chemicals, is to launch a new training academy in April in a bid to close the potential skills shortage the oil and gas industry is facing.
The launch of the training academy comes after a direct call from Champion Technologies’ clients to help train new entrants to the industry desired standard, instilling skills that can be used throughout their future careers. The training is also an ideal opportunity for those who have gained more experience to top up their knowledge in specific areas.
The courses are open to the company’s clients as well as oil and gas operators and service companies. Courses will continue to run throughout the year covering a range of topics.
A range of other courses will be available throughout the year focusing on areas such as corrosion, production chemistry, asphaltenes and gas hydrates, microbiology and phase separation. Each of the courses will be led by Champion employees, all of whom are global industry experts in their respective fields.
UKbusiness manager, Neil Cousland at Champion Technologies said: “This is an exciting new initiative which is being launched after a direct call from the oil and gas industry. The skills shortage in this sector is incredibly topical at the moment and it is critical that action is taken now to combat this issue.
