Chevron’s Agbami Exports Delayed

Friday, September 5, 2008

Exports from the Agbami field offshore Nigeria, which were scheduled for loading next week, will be delayed. The Chevron operated field began production in July and its first cargo was expected to load on September 12-13.

A Reuters report quoted a source as saying, "The first cargo has not been loaded yet. Loadings are delayed."  The report did not state the cause of the delay.

The Agbami oilfield began producing at a rate of 20,000 bpd of oil and natural gas liquids and is expected to increase substantially over the next year.
