CNPCIT/TG World Expand Niger Testing Program

Friday, February 2, 2007

Calgary-based TG World provided an operational update on its holdings in the Tenere Block of Niger. TG states its partner and operator CNPC International Tenere (CNPCIT), has advised that the all logs of the bottom section of the Saha–1 exploration well have now been run and the company has set and cemented the 177.8 mm liner to total depth at 3,500 meters. CNPCIT now plans to complete bottom-hole operations and rig up for testing, which is anticipated to begin within the next few days.

CNPCIT also reported that upon evaluation of the logs, it identified four intervals that will be tested during the program, which is expected to take three to four weeks; a longer testing period than previously anticipated and announced. Delays were incurred in running logs between approximately 2,500 metres and TD at 3,500 metres, resulting in a longer-than anticipated period to commence testing. Further updates will be forthcoming when test results are in.
