Zallaf Libya has reached the end of drilling operations and the start of testing on the first development well in the Erawan field, according to an announcement by to NOC (National Oil Corporation). On March 19, the first development well – E04 – in the Eron field was put to the test after the drilling and completion operations were completed, without burning any amount of oil by applying Zero gas flaring technology, NOC reported.
The crude oil produced from the Eron field is transported to the surface equipment of the Acacus Sharara field, which is about 100 km from the Eron field, by private transport vehicles.
The initial results of the well were encouraging, and the daily production of the well is expected to reach more than 1,800 barrels per day. Testing will continue at different rates until the required results are obtained and the well and the reservoir are properly evaluated.
