Firms’s looking to enter Kenya’s offshore deepwater acreage should take a look at Erin Energy’s blocks, L-27 and L28. The company is still seeking partners for the two acreage areas.
Erin said in its Q3 report that it has stepped up its efforts to identify farm-in partners in order to share exploration costs and risks in the ultra-deepwater offshore blocks L-27 and L-28.
At the end of Q3, the company saw an 18-month extension of the Initial Exploration Period (IEP) for the blocks. The IEP on blocks L27 and L28 was extended to February 2017.
