The Gabonese government has signed three production sharing contracts (PSCs) with French independent explorer Perenco. Th new PSCs cover the Ezila, Onémbé and Evaro blocks, located onshore in the North Sub-Basin in the province of the Ogooué Maritime. The blocks span an area of 5,161 sq km.
The agreement was reached through direct negotiations between the two parties, in accordance with the provisions of the new hydrocarbon code, and the initial exploration period will last eight years.
