Ganope (Ganoub El Wadi Petroleum Holding Company) has announced that it plans to drill 11 exploration wells over its 2021/22 fiscal year. According to Alaa El Batal, Ganope Chief, more than $37 million will be spent on the program geared to help the company reach 27,600 barrels of oil production per day.
This was announced during Ganope’s general assembly, which was chaired by the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla. El Molla stated that the Red Sea region will see extensive exploration and production activities following the first phase of a seismic survey which is to be followed by a second phase after a tender for bids is launched and a contractor is selected.
