GE Interested in Halliburton Units

GE is said to be in advanced talks to buy the drill-bits and drilling-services divisions of Halliburton. Prior to the drop in crude prices the divisions were estimated to be worth as much as $5 billion, however it is unknown what these divisions will now bring.

Halliburton is unloading a number of divisions in an effort to pass anti-trust restrictions hindering its merger with Baker Hughes.
