Gas flows through the Greenstream pipeline are gradually resuming. The pipeline sends gas subsea from Libya to Italy. Flows were halted last week after skirmishes between local militia and security forces at ENI’s Mellitah gas processing facility were shut-in.
A spokesman for Italian gas grid operator Snam said, “There is a gradual resumption of flows and we expect about 16 million cubic meters of gas which will meet requests from the system.”
The Greenstream pipeline that transports gas from Libya to Italy has an annual capacity of at least 8 billion cubic meters.
