HOUSTON (April 30th, 2018) – HENDERSON, a leader in the sales and service of drilling rigs and capital drilling equipment, will be hosting a fundraiser for Oilfield Helping Hands (OHH) on Wednesday May 2nd, 2018. In honor of the 50th year of the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) HENDERSON will give 100% of all proceeds to the oilfield non-profit organization.
“Every year, we welcome hundreds of our clients and colleagues to our annual fundraiser hosted for a charitable organization. It’s our way of remaining humble and kind,” says Dan Henderson, HENDERSON Founder & CEO, “Oilfield Helping Hands was selected as this year’s beneficiary because we want to participate in the momentum of the industry’s come-back, and that includes the people in it.”
OHH was born from an idea that a few employees at a small oil and gas company had to help a fellow worker who was battling a medical illness. Today OHH has helped more than 400 families in similar situations and plans to grow and expand every year.
OHH Executive Director, Bill Markus remarks on this year’s partnership with HENDERSON, “Oilfield Helping Hands reaches out into our oil industry community and helps those who find themselves in difficult situations; and we give them a little reprieve from the worry of making ends meet. This wouldn’t be made possible without the help of our corporate partners, charitable events and personal donations; and we are blessed to have the support of HENDERSON.”
OHH was named beneficiary of the 2017 OTC Distinguished Achievement Awards Luncheon; and HENDERSON carries on the tradition by having OHH as the beneficiary of their 2018 OTC fundraiser. The exclusive country and western-themed event, hosted by Cowboy Dave from 100.3 The Bull, will have live music from Texas’ Drywater Band, boot-shining, door prizes, raffles and a silent auction to raise money. Guests will be able to bid on Texans tickets, Astros tickets, vacation packages, golf outings and more at the fundraiser.
