Aminex reports that its gas production from the Kiliwani North-1 well reached 30 Mmcf/d over the weekend. The company said stable pressure recordings were still being achieved at this rate.
The commissioning process is expected to be concluded with the testing of the well to determine optimal flow rates. Aminex said it believes the current flows of 30 Mmcf/d are optimal based on previous test data.
Aminex is the sole producer into the new Songo Songo Island Gas Processing Plant and anticipates that power well testing that the plant will require in excess of 23 Mmcf/d to operate.
The gas produced from the Kiliwani North-1 well is destined for TPDC who is the sole buyer under a gas sales agreement between TPDC and Aminex.
