Nigerian LNG on way to Sabine Pass

Monday, March 31, 2008

Cheniere Energy, Inc. said on March 27 that its Celestine River LNG vessel has left Nigeria laden down with its first cargo of Nigerian LNG. The vessel is scheduled to arrive at the Sabine Pass LNG terminal on April 12. The US’s Federal Energy Regulatory Commission granted Cheniere’s request to accept cargos for testing on March 14.

"After several years of development and construction, we are very excited to receive our cool down cargo on our own ship. We hope this marks the beginning of a long relationship with Nigeria LNG, a dominant LNG producer in the Atlantic Basin," said Chairman and CEO Charif Souki.
