NOC’s Sanallah and Total’s Bouyani Discuss Forward Plans for Libya

NOC’s Chairman of the Board, Eng. Mustafa Sanallah, and the CEO of French major Total, Mr. Patrick Bouyani, met to discuss the consolidation and development of bilateral relations and the expansion of joint cooperation between the two sides.

The Libyan companies, Al Waha and Mabrouk, were discussed for the purpose of increasing production rates according to short, medium and long-term goals, in addition to introducing renewable energy technology (solar energy) in the systems of the Waha Oil Company.

Social responsibility programs were also discussed in the company’s operations areas, and Mr. Bouyani promised to make more contributions, on top of which is the contribution to financing the World Health Organization’s proposal submitted to the National Oil Corporation regarding the provision of drugs and treatment for a segment of children with cancer patients in Libya.

The National Oil Corporation is seeking to achieve these vital goals with its partner Total, in order to promote the Libyan oil sector, which is the main and sole supporter of the national economy.

Sanallah, commented: “We extend our sincere thanks to Total for its effective and rapid contribution to confronting the Corona crisis in the oil sector and our areas of operations, and we count a lot on the expertise and great capabilities that the French company Total has as it is a strong historical partner of the National Corporation. For oil, which will contribute to the completion of many important development projects such as North Gallo, and from 98, which represent the most important hopes in the oil sector, as production from these two fields will reach approximately 175 thousand barrels, as well as contribute to the maintenance operations of surface equipment and dilapidated crude oil transport lines.
