OGEC Wins another Uganda Gig

OGEC Cracow Ltd., part of the PGNIG Group, has signed a contract with Heritage Oil & Gas Ltd. for a drilling program in Uganda. The rig under contract is the Skyptop Brewster RR 600. The scope of the contract covers 6 exploration wells in Block 3A and Heritage has reserved the right to extend the contract for more wells as well as for reentry work on the Kingfisher field.

OGEC said that the contract will be undertaken by a team of international engineers, technicians, and supporting staff from Poland, Pakistan, and Uganda.

The contracted rig is currently being mobilized from Poland and is scheduled to arrive at the Port of Mombasa at the end of March and then be transported to Block 3A in Uganda.
