The upstream construction contract for the Fortuna FLNG Project offshore Equatorial Guinea has been awarded. Ophir Energy, operator of the project, awarded the construction contract to Subsea Integration Alliance, a partnership between Schlumberger’s OneSubsea and Subsea 7.

The contract is structured as an EPCIC contract for the subsea umbilicals, risers and flowlines and for the subsea production systems scope of work. The scope of the EPCIC is to deliver 440 Mmcf/d of gas through infrastructure comprising four wells (three into the Fortuna field and one into the underlying Viscata field).

As part of the shareholders’ agreement announced in November 2016, at FID Ophir Equatorial Guinea (Block R) Ltd will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Fortuna JV (comprising Ophir and OneLNG).

Fortuna, West Africa’s first deepwater FLNG Project, is expected to FID before the end of 2017.”
