Release–Paradigm Redefines Formation Evaluation with Geolog 7 at SPWLA
New advances to have a significant impact on E&P activities in formation evaluation and geosteering.
(AMSTERDAM: May 3, 2011)Paradigm™ will preview the next version of its leading formation evaluation solution, Paradigm™ Geolog® 7 at the 2011 Society of Petrophysicists & Well Log Analysts (SPWLA) Annual Symposium in Colorado Springs, Colorado, May 15 – 18. Conference attendees are invited to the Paradigm booth 223 for one-on-one demonstrations featuring the advances in Geolog 7.
Geolog is the industry standard petrophysical analysis solution and system of choice for formation evaluation specialists. Geolog is based on Paradigm’s Epos® 4 data management solution and is integrated with Paradigm’s StratEarth® and SKUA® geological interpretation and model-building solutions, together offering the most comprehensive toolset for exploration and development geologists.
The preview of the upcoming Geolog 7 version will highlight some of the key advances in petrophysical analysis, well data management and geological interpretation, including:
“Geolog 7 is the result of a thorough re-engineering of the Geolog suite, with the aim of making our powerful and efficient formation evaluation offering even more productive and easier to use,” said Richard Pelling, solution manager for formation evaluation at Paradigm. “By listening attentively to our global customer base, we have managed to take a leading solution and make it significantly better.”
Geolog 7 will be available on both Windows and Linux platforms in the second half of 2011. With comprehensive integration with the Paradigm solution suite, Geolog leverages strong interpretation, calibration, modeling and mapping capabilities across many workflows.
At SPWLA, Paradigm staff will demonstrate a comprehensive uncertainty workflow that associates the new Geolog Model-based uncertainty module for deterministic petrophysics with the Paradigm Reservoir Risk Assessment module (Jacta®) for advanced reservoir volumetric uncertainty assessment. Additionally, the Geosteering module and its forward-modeling capabilities will also be showcased.
Advance registration is now available for one-on-one demonstrations featuring the latest offering of Geolog 7, at the Paradigm booth 223 at SPWLA. For more information on Paradigm products and services, visit www.pdgm.com, or e-mail [email protected].
