SMP Rig Deployed to Temane

Sasol saw the deployment of SMP’s hi-tech drilling rig, SMP-105, at its Temane development in Mozambique.  The drilling using the SMP-105 is done remotely using a joystick and touch-screen technology.

The rig is expected to remain on location until mid-October when it is expected to be moved to Sasol’s Inhassoro field, also in Mozambique. The company is looking for condensate on the Inhassoro field.
