Technip Awarded Elf Nigeria Contract

Technip has been awarded a contract by Elf Petroleum Nigeria for the loading, transport, and installation of the topsides for the platform on the Ofon field offshore Nigeria. Under the contract Technip will provide the engineering, supply of equipment required for the installation, and the loading of the topsides on to the transport vessel.

The topsides, which way approximately 13,000 tons, will be coming to Nigeria from South Korea. Technip will use its proprietary UnideckR(2) floatover method to install the topsides. According to the company  release, “Engineering of transport and installation will be executed by Technip,” notably by the Group’s operations and engineering center in Lagos.
