Terraseis Nigeria Ltd., a unit of Terraseis Trading Ltd., has completed a seismic survey in Nigeria. The company said that its “challenging” 3D transition zone seismic survey was for Addax Petroleum on OPL 227.
The survey was the first conducted in this region of the Niger Delta in over four years due to the ongoing security issues that threaten operators in the region.
Addax and Terraseis worked closely with the local communities and businesses to establish a community program that ensured minimal confrontation with nearby villages and permitted the crew to complete the program prior to the onset of the 2011 rainy season.
Bernd Fiebig, geophysical manager at Addax Petroleum Services said, “I know that it was not easy for Terraseis, but again, you have demonstrated to the entire world that Terraseis can succeed there where everybody else is not capable to work.”
