The non-stop route between Houston and Lagos, Nigeria by United Airlines has been cancelled. The airline said the route would end at the end of June due to a lack of demand in the energy sector.
United kept its route from Houston to Lagos for a number of years in order to better serve oil industry workers in Texas, despite the poor outcomes.
Nigeria, according to a Bloomberg report, owed air carriers an estimated $575 million at the end of March of this year.
