Houston – November 7, 2005 – Veritas DGC Inc. (NYSE & TSX: VTS) announced today that it has merged its Hampson-Russell seismic interpretation software group with Veritas Exploration Services (VES) to form a new division of Veritas, Veritas/Hampson-Russell (VHR).
“Too few oil and gas companies realized that Hampson-Russell was already part of Veritas,” explained Ken Tubman, Senior Vice President, VHR. “Combining our industry-leading software with our advanced interpretation services enhances the value that both can provide to our customers.”
Hampson-Russell is a strong, internationally respected brand, with a long-held reputation for delivering world-class advanced seismic interpretation software. VES has a wealth of capabilities, with tremendous skills and experience in resolving complex interpretation challenges.
High-end services offered by VHR include inversion, AVO, petrophysics, interpretation, 4D analysis and multicomponent interpretation. “Our customers will benefit through internal use of the Hampson-Russell software, expert training, advanced services and consulting,” added Tubman.
