African Petroleum Changes Name to Forte Oil

African Petroleum plc, at its Annual General Meeting in Lagos, has changed its name to Forte Oil Plc. The name change was overwhelmingly approved by shareholders.

Also at the meeting Mike Ahmed was named as the new Managing Director/CEO of the company. Omolola Segun Idahor was confirmed at the new executive director, Finance and Information Technology and Grace Ekpenyong, Ghris Adeyemi, and Nebolisa Arah were re-elected as directors of the company.

Forte shareholders also appointed two new directors, Deacon M Akinola and Korede Omolaja to the board.
