Angola’s Block 17 Hits 2Billion Barrel Mark

In Angola, offshore Block 17 has hit a milestone, seeing 2 billion cumulative barrels produced since its first development came onstream.

The block now contains 15 discoveries, four developments, four FPSOs, and a very high level of production. The four developments are Girassol, Dalia, Pazflor, and CLOV.

Block 17’s first development, the Girassol, came onstream in late-2001.

Total operates Block 17 with a 40% interest, alongside Statoil with 23.33%, ExxonMobil with 20%, and BP with 16.67%.
