Buzi Block May Have Gas

Thursday, September 26, 2013

ENH, Mozambique’s state run firm, found natural gas on the Buzi block and reports suggest that the block may contain more gas. The seismic survey was carried out by Gelombang Seismic Indonesia (GSI) and following this, seismic survey test wells will be drilled in 2014 to determine the exact amount of gas in the block, local newspaper Notícias reported.

Speaking at a recent press conference, Buzi district administrator Thomas Joseph said that there are no figures but the results revealed to date were satisfactory.

The Búzi block is made up of the districts of Búzi, Machanga, and Chibabava, and the first oil and gas surveys were carried out there in the 1960s.
